This is the most popular attraction in Ajmer, where devotees
and tourists come from all over. It was built in honor of the Sufi saint Khwaja
Moin-ud-din Chisti, who dedicated his life to the service of humanity. This

the saint. No fervent prayer is believed to go unanswered in this dargah. The
feast of Urs, the anniversary of the saint's death, is celebrated with great
enthusiasm on the Dargah. The festival lasts for three days and is a famous

other Muslim countries. Mass begins on 25 Jamadi-ul-Akhir (6th lunar month).
The Mughal Emperor Akbar is said to have offered a prayer for an heir to this
dargah in the 16th century, and his prayer was answered.
Taragarh Fort
It is a wonderful fortress that offers a picturesque view of
the city. Built in 1345, the fort houses the tomb of the governor of the fort,
who lost his life fighting valiantly. It also has archaeological significance.
Bhim Burj, one of the largest battlefields in Rajasthan, is located in the
complex of this fortress.
