It was built in honor of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chisti, who dedicated his life to the service of humanity. This shrine is highly regarded by the country's Muslims. It is also the last home of the saint. No fervent prayer is believed to go unanswered in this dargah. The feast of Urs, the anniversary of the saint's death, is celebrated with great enthusiasm on the Dargah. The festival lasts for three days and is a famous Rajasthani festival which attracts a large number of tourists from India and other Muslim countries. Mass begins on 25 Jamadi-ul-Akhir (6th lunar month). The Mughal Emperor Akbar is said to have offered a prayer for an heir to this dargah in the 16th century, and his prayer was answered.

It is a wonderful fortress that offers a picturesque view of the city. Built in 1345, the fort houses the tomb of the governor of the fort, who lost his life fighting valiantly.
