Ajmer Sharif Dargah is world famous as it is believed that no prayer in this dargah goes unanswered. It is the most famous attraction in the city of Ajmer in Rajasthan. The city was founded in the 7th century by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan. The Dargah is one of the most revered shrines by Muslims. It is a famous pilgrimage center where people of different religious backgrounds come to pray. Followers come here from all over the world. Reflects the Mughal architectural style. This sacred shrine was built in honor of Saint Khwaja Moin-Ud-Din Chisti, who dedicated his life to the service of the poor. The dargah is made of marble with a golden dome. The saint's tomb is surrounded by a silver railing and a marble screen. According to historical records, the Mughal Emperor Akbar visited this Dargah on foot from Delhi to pray for an heir.
